Part 3:

What should I Do If I Receive Notice To Attend Court? judge

 

Firstly, STAY CALM and DO NOT PANIC. don't panic

 

There are two documents that you will likely receive from Child Safety before attending court.

These are:


document1. An application for a Court Assessment Order orChild Protection Order. At the bottom of this document will be a date and court address for you to attend the next hearing.

document2. Affidavit/s

 

SEEK LEGAL ADVICE IMMEDIATELY if you are given notice to attend court.

Should you require an interpreter at court, you must tell the court as early as possible before the court hearing.


Call Legal Aid Queensland to determine if you are eligible for free legal advice / services.


See a private lawyer if you are not eligible for Legal Aid.
